Queen’s Scout Award Journey

The Explorer Scout Young Leader program combined with being a MEMBER offers a YL a great way to help their two very important awards

  • Duke of Edinburgh Awards – DofE (Bronze, Silver & Gold)
  • Queen’s Scout award

How unique are you with these 2 awards

These awards hold a lot of credibility of a CV as only a very small % of the 18-24 population in the UK earn these awards. Over the last 10 years the number of 18-24’s in the UK has remain relatively constant at around 5.9 million.

In 2018/2019 only 12,648 individuals earned the Gold DofE which means just under 0.22 % of the 18-24 population earned this award. In the 2019 UK Scout census only 330 Explorers/Network members earned their Queen’s Scout award which means less than 0.01% of the 18-24 population earned this award.
